Between 2008-2022 I wrapped and hand sewed approximately 500 walking medals in soft, black felt and they are presented collectively in my exhibition Leaky Memories curated by Roy Voragen at Jendela Maastricht. Also on display are casts of stones – which I inherited from my grandmother who asked family members, friends and acquaintances to bring her small stones from their travels – and made into candles of beeswax. At the opening, I invited people to light a stone candle, to experience fluidity, to be together, and to experience that different moments, places and bodies can leak through each other.
